Efforts to improve basic body balance (static) movement in elementary school students through traditional game methods

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see if playing games with conventional tools can improve static balance learning
outcomes. The benefit of this research is that it gives educators an overview of how to use approaches that are
right for teaching and learning activities to improve learning outcomes. This study used action research, which
consisted of two cycles-one for planning, one for carrying out actions, one for observing, and one for reflectingof each class action research cycle. This study enlisted the participation of 19 students. Students in Grade III at
SDN Sungai Miai 1 Banjarmasin notice a positive effect when traditional or game-based balance learning is
implemented. Student learning outcomes that go above and beyond KKM70 demonstrate this. From cycle I to
cycle II, students saw an increase of 49.5% (cycle I) to 94.7% (cycle II), and learning completeness increased by
45 percent. It is possible to draw the conclusion that the application of traditional game or balance learning
strategies can enhance fundamental movement skills based on the explanation of the causes of the results
mentioned above.
